Attendance

Present were: Judge Gray, Judge Lovecchio, Judge McCoy, Jennifer Ayers, Brian Bluth, Richard Callahan, Robert Cronin, Robert Elion, Bradley Hillman, John Person, Clifford Rieders, Jeffrey Rowe, Thomas Waffenschmidt, Kevin Way, J. Michael Wiley, David Wilk, W. Jeffrey Yates and Ed Mitchell.

Old Business

Jury Selection - Jury Questionnaires and Numbers to Be Called for Individual Jury Selection Panels

The Court Administrator has sent a memo to members of the bar outlining availability of jury questionnaires on DVD and availability of juror numbers to be called for individual jury selection panels. The process will make questionnaires available on DVD approximately 14 days before the first day of jury selection and individual jurors numbers to be called for each panel approximately 7 days before the panel selection day.

New Business

New Criminal Procedures

New criminal procedures have been adopted requiring concurrence or non-concurrence for motions. There are also changes in procedures for arraignments and guilty plea days.

Memorial Services

The Memorial Service for John C. Youngman, Jr. will be rescheduled.

Day Reporting Center

Progress is being made between the Court and the Commissioners concerning the opening of a day reporting center.

Statistics

There were 400 more criminal filings in the year 2012 than 2011. The numbers for 2013 approximate those for 2012.

Categorization of civil filings is being done by the law clerks.

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be May 5, 2014 at noon at a location to be announced.
